百尺高的楼台正对着万重山峦，
向南眺望楚江，隔着晴朗的烟霭。
云雾遮蔽了白色的小道，天空垂落如帷幕，
黄昏时卷起帘子，一弯新月挂在天边。
桑叶飘落在蒲城，仿佛在催促美酒酿熟，
章台路上的柳树衰败，令人感伤年华凋零。
头发乌亮如蒲草，又怎能禁住心中的憾恨，
还未等到成为郎官，便已感到萧瑟凄凉。

A hundred-foot tower faces myriad mountain folds,
Gazing south toward Chu River through a veil of clear mist.
Clouds hide the white path, the sky hangs like a curtain,
The blinds are rolled up at dusk, the moon is a crescent.
Mulberry leaves fall in Pu Town, urging the mellowing of wine,
Willows wither on Zhang Road, mourning the passing years.
My hair, glossy as rushes, cannot contain this sorrow—
Even before becoming a courtier, I'm already desolate.
