清晨走下黄芦坂，
傍晚遥望箕山的云。
深切怀念巢居山上的隐士，
想象那位岩洞中的人。
年少时仰慕高尚的节操，
壮年时却为世俗纷扰所困。
羡慕在颍水漱洗的隐逸生活，
叹息洛阳的尘嚣，振衣欲去。
荒废的祠庙惊起飞鸟纷乱，
山间林木浸染着落日余晖。
姑且在此告别香草与桂树，
趁着月色归去，正好迎来新春。

At dawn, I descend the slope of yellow reeds;
At dusk, I gaze upon the clouds over Mount Ji.
With longing, I recall the recluse who nested there,
And picture that man dwelling within the rocky cliffs.
In tender youth, I yearned for noble integrity;
In robust years, I'm entangled in worldly strife.
I envy the Ying River, where one rinses in its flow,
And sigh at the dust of Luoyang, while shaking my robe.
The empty shrine startles birds in disarray;
The mountain woods hold the lingering glow of sunset.
Here, I bid farewell to the fragrant herbs and laurels,
And return with the moon, just as the new spring arrives.
