庭院中森然排列着碧玉般的竹子，
它们清雅的荫影令人感到透骨的寒意。
竹身高耸挺拔，已成为凤凰栖息的依托；
竹丛团团簇簇，都是能化龙的竹竿。
深夜，月光筛过竹叶，仿佛碎金闪烁；
拂晓，晨雾笼罩竹林，好似长戟丛聚。
竹子的劲节坚守着君子的操守，
王子猷啊，切莫把它们当作等闲之物看待。

In the courtyard, a dense grove of jade-green bamboo stands solemnly,
Their graceful, clear shade chills one to the very bone.
Tall and upright, they have become the perch for phoenixes;
Round and clustered, all are stems destined to turn into dragons.
Deep at night, moonlight sifts through, like shattered gold;
At dawn's first light, mist envelops them, resembling a thicket of halberds.
Their firm joints uphold the gentleman's steadfast virtue—
Do not, Wang Huizhi, regard them as merely ordinary!
