年复一年，它对着船上的旅客啼叫，
处处在树梢头传来声响。
仿佛像佳人的软语，
依稀似太子的笙乐。
在夕阳下听也听不够，
它飞入了昔日的荒废城郭。

The shade of green willows is still thin and light,
The oriole's warble already clear and bright.
Year after year, to boat passengers it sings,
From treetops everywhere, its melody springs.
It seems like a fair lady's tender word,
Or like the crown prince's flute, faintly heard.
At sunset, one cannot have enough of its song,
As it flies into the old, desolate town along.
