骆驼鸣叫着从西域而来，
它们首尾相连，结成连绵的队伍。
从汉家的驿站凌空远去，
由胡人牵着踏雪而行。
它们平时就能辨识风候，
穿越沙碛能辨别出沙下的泉水。
老了才感觉到驼峰肉封的侧边，
却依然蒙着鲜艳的锦帕。

The camel bells ring out from the Western Regions' land,
In a linked caravan, tail to mouth they go.
From Han posts they climb cloudward, a majestic band,
By Hu men through the snow, led steady and slow.
They know by instinct every shift of wind and air,
Crossing deserts, they find where hidden springs arise.
Old now, the hump's thick flesh shows wear and tear,
Yet still it's draped in brocade, a vivid prize.
