似畏群芳妬，先春发故林。

sì wèi qún fāng dù， xiān chūn fā gù lín。

ㄙˋ ㄨㄟˋ ㄑㄩㄣˊ ㄈㄤㄉㄨˋ，ㄒㄧㄢㄔㄨㄣㄈㄚㄍㄨˋ ㄌㄧㄣˊ。

曾无鶑蝶恋，空被雪霜侵。

céng wú yīng dié liàn， kōng bèi xuě shuāng qīn。

不道东风远，应悲上苑深。

bù dào dōng fēng yuǎn， yīng bēi shàng yuàn shēn。

南枝已零落，羌笛寄余音。

ㄋㄢˊ ㄓㄧˇ ㄌㄧㄥˊ ㄌㄨㄛˋ，ㄑㄧㄤㄉㄧˊ ㄐㄧˋ ㄩˊ ㄧㄣ。

它仿佛害怕百花嫉妒，在春天到来之前就在旧日的树林中绽放。

从未有黄莺或蝴蝶眷恋过它；徒然遭受着霜雪的侵袭。

并非因为东风离得遥远；它应悲叹上林苑的幽深。

南面的枝条已经凋零飘落，羌笛却寄托着它不绝的余音。

As if fearing the envy of all other blooms, it blossoms in the old grove before spring arrives.

Never once have orioles or butterflies courted it; in vain, it's assailed by frost and snow.

Not that the east wind is far away; it should grieve the depth of the royal garden.

The southern boughs have already withered and fallen, yet the Qiang flute carries its lingering tone.

梅尧臣（1002年－1060年），字圣俞，世称宛陵先生，北宋宣州宣城（今属安徽）人。他是北宋诗文革新运动的关键人物，与欧阳修、苏舜钦齐名，并称“梅欧”或“苏梅”。其诗歌创作力矫西昆体之浮艳，转向质朴平淡，开宋诗风气之先，被誉为“宋诗开山祖师”。
