吴地的人珍爱燕地的骏马，
燕地的马如今卧在吴地人家。
它毛骨峥嵘，从前备受尊贵，
想要奔赴关山，路途却遥远得难以计价。
在草木幽深的闲静楚泽，
气力耗尽时，它回忆着胡地的风沙。
御史骑着它已经很久了，
此刻路上遇到一匹避让的浅黑马。

The Yan horse now rests in a Wu domain.
Its noble frame once held in high esteem,
Yet distant passes make the journey seem a dream.
In lush, untended marshes, deep the grass grows;

And now, a dappled horse yields way at the road's bend.
