砍伐桑树的人们却受饥饿所阻。
已经为斧头的缺损而伤心，
却不能不做背负柴薪的苦活。
勉强能够应付一天的食物，
哪里还顾得上考虑整年的衣服？
月光没有任何阻隔，
径直照进他们破败的荆条门扉。

The mulberry cutters are hindered by hunger.
Already grieved by the axe's chipped edge,
They cannot afford to shirk the load of firewood.
They barely manage to feed themselves for the day,

It shines straight through their broken thornwood door.
