楚匠斲山骨，折檀为转脐。

chǔ jiàng zhuó shān gǔ， zhé tán wéi zhuǎn qí。

乾坤人力内，日月蚁行迷。

qián kūn rén lì nèi， rì yuè yǐ xíng mí。

白话文翻译

楚地的匠人开凿山石，

截断檀木制作茶磨的转轴。

在人的力量之中蕴含着天地，

日月运行如同蚂蚁爬行，令人迷惑。

研磨时吐出雪沫，夸赞春茶的美好，

堆起的茶末如云，让人怀念旧日的溪山。

急切北归，只为此事牵挂，

捣药的臼器已无需再去挤占工夫。

A craftsman from Chu carves the mountain's core,

And breaks sandalwood to make the turning pivot.

Within the power of human effort lies the cosmos,

Where sun and moon crawl like ants, lost in their course.

Spouting snow, he boasts of spring tea's fine brew,

Piling clouds, he recalls the old stream he knew.

Northward bound, this alone urges his haste;

No need to pound herbs in a mortar in waste.
