一同出行，我为这瘦弱的马车感到惭愧；
在康庄大道上，也懒得挥动马鞭。
跛脚的驴子有时也能胜过骏马；
分开道路前行，去得如轻烟般迅疾。
何必叹息行程的快慢呢？
自古以来，事物总有先有后。
我们所期望的不过是抵达同一个终点；
等我到达时，你也应该返回了。

Side by side we set out, ashamed of my frail carriage;
On the broad road, I'm too lazy to lift the whip.
A lame donkey can outrun a horse;
Cleaving the path, it vanishes like smoke.
Why sigh over slowness or swiftness?
