琴与书籍占了一半行李，分量不轻。
心胸与平坦的原野一样开阔相通；
目光所及，群山显得格外分明。
年纪老大，依然空自奔波行旅；
疏懒慵惰的性情，岂是为了功名利禄？
夏侯公深知我刻苦求学的用心，
却始终未曾劝我归乡耕种田亩。

Half of my load is books and lute, not light in weight.
My heart communes with the vast plain stretching out of sight;
My eyes take in the brightened peaks, a splendid sight.
In my late years, I travel still with luggage bare;

Lord Xiahou knows I've toiled in studies with care,
Yet never urges me to plough the field again.
