连续十日阴云密布，驱散了残留的暑气。
江边的树木大半都已焦枯，
却不厌烦潮头涌来，洗涤尘世的泥土。
南楼映照着千丈红光，
落日却仿佛沉没在汹涌的波涛中央。
船夫和渔人莫要惆怅，
还要借助明天早晨到来的东北风扬帆起航。

The fierce wind blows the sand but brings no rain,
For ten days gloomy clouds have held the waning heat in thrall.
The riverside trees are half scorched and sere,
Yet they welcome the tide's head to wash away the dusty pall.
The Southern Tower is bathed in a thousand-zhang crimson glow,
The setting sun seems drowned in the vast tide's ebb and flow.
Boatmen and fishermen, do not be sad or fret,
We'll borrow yet the northeast wind that comes with morning's onset.
