三更时分，饱足的甘霖降下，
忽然间，凉意袭来，仿佛已是秋日。
惊雷驾着狂风而至，
那气势仿佛要掀翻我的小楼。
迷蒙的雨幕被划开，天空豁然开朗，
稻田的陇亩像泼了油一般光亮。
兵灾与凶年接连不断，
连糟糠都成了珍贵的食物。
天公只需翻覆手掌，
就能稍稍缓解我们带着牛犊耕作的忧虑。
诸位贤士也只能徒然忧心注视，
这百亩田地才是我真正的忧愁所在。

At midnight, a sweet rain saturates the land,
Suddenly, a cool breath of autumn is at hand.
With thunder and wind, a tempest fiercely blows,
Its force seems strong enough to lift my house and throw.
The murky gloom is torn, the sky turns clear and bright,
The rice fields glisten, as if oiled with pure light.
War's scourge and famine's years have followed one by one,
Even coarse bran and husks are treasures to be won.
Yet Heaven, with a turn of hand, can change the scene,
And grant some respite from the plow and oxen's lean.
The worthy men can only watch with anxious eyes,
My hundred acres are the source of all my sighs.
