佛如优昙时一出,老姥何为憎见佛。
山从古在天地间,愚公可笑欲移山。
火其书,庐其居,佛亦何曾可扫除。
子有孙,孙有子,山竟嵳峨汝何喜。
床头有酒敌霜风,诗成老气尚如虹。
八万四千颠倒想,与君同付醉眠中。

佛陀如同优昙花,只在极稀有时出现;
老妇人为何憎恶见到佛陀?
山峦自古就存在于天地之间;
愚公可笑地想要移走大山。
烧掉他们的经书,拆毁他们的居所,
但佛陀又何曾能被彻底扫除?
你有孙子,孙子又会有儿子;
山终究巍峨耸立,你有什么可欢喜的?
床头有酒,足以抵挡霜风寒气;
诗写成后,我老迈的气概依然如虹霓般壮阔。
八万四千种颠倒妄想,
与你一同付诸醉后的睡梦之中。
The Buddha, like the Udumbara, appears but once in a great while;
Why should an old woman hate to see the Buddha's face?
Mountains have stood between heaven and earth since ancient days;
How laughable was the Foolish Old Man who wished to move them away!
Burn their books, destroy their dwellings—
Yet how could the Buddha ever be swept clean away?
You have grandsons, and grandsons will have sons;
The mountains remain towering—what is there for you to rejoice?
By the bedside, wine stands against the frosty wind;
The poem done, my aged spirit still shines like a rainbow.
Eighty-four thousand deluded thoughts—
Together with you, I'll consign them all to drunken slumber.
