在湖海之上飘然往来，避开世间的纷扰，
沙洲上的白鹭，是我旧日熟知的景象。
躺在渔舟中看山，景色正觉美好，
在野店买酒品尝，很容易就微醺。
多病的身骨还未化作松树下的泥土，
衰老之身常与渡口的云霞相伴。
虽然想献上美芹之策未免可笑，
但这区区心意，也是出于对君王的爱戴。

Drifting freely on lakes and seas, I shun the world's strife,
On the islets and sandbars, egrets are my old acquaintances.
Lying in the fishing boat, I find the mountains most pleasing to view,
Tasting wine at a rustic inn, I am easily warmed to mild tipsiness.
This ailing frame has not yet turned to soil beneath the pine trees,
My aged self often keeps company with clouds by the ferry crossing.
Though laughable, my desire to offer the fine celery of advice,
This humble intent, sincere and small, is still born of love for my lord.
