蝉鸣声声，秋意尚未衰歇，
花苞在暮色中早早收拢。
年老本就多感伤，
时光却依然缓缓流逝。

The wooden gate stays closed through the day.
The small pond is clear, revealing its bottom,
And sparse raindrops fall now and then.

Yet time still flows on, gentle and slow.
