睡眠稀少，更觉滴漏声格外漫长。
红色的帘旌被湿气卷得潮湿，

本想轻声吟诗以排遣烦闷，
却再三叹息，终究未能成章。

In early summer, the rain pours down incessantly,
The sound from the eaves echoes around the four corridors.
Deeply moved, my hair turns white easily,
With little sleep, the water-clock seems to run longer.
The red curtain roll is dampened by the moisture,
Warmth breeds fragrance from the clothes-drying stove.
I chant softly to dispel my gloom,
But sigh thrice, failing to compose a verse.
