秋晚吾庐好，柴门映断山。

qiū wǎn wú lú hǎo， chái mén yìng duàn shān。

潮生鱼箔短，木落雉媒闲。

晚秋时节，我的庐舍景致正好，

柴门掩映着远处断裂的山峦。

潮水上涨，渔箔显得短了；

树叶凋落，诱雉的媒鸟也清闲。

在苍茫的城墙之外，

在浩荡的渔舟之间，

有客来访，我常托病谢绝，

年老迟钝，耐得住别人的嘲讪。

My cottage in late autumn is fair to see,

Its wicker gate mirrors the broken mountain crest.

The tide swells, fish weirs appear short in the lee;

Leaves fall, decoy pheasants at ease take their rest.

Beyond the vast expanse of the city wall,

Amid the boundless stretch of fishing boats free,

When guests come, I often plead illness to stall—

Old and dull, I endure mockery patiently.
