衰老多病，我还能吃下一竹篮饭；
莼菜和茭白，也成了我的加餐。
过去曾叨光刻了官印，不久又销去；
如今老了，惭愧于弹冠求仕，屡次挂冠归隐。
我自怪像嵇康那样懒散；
别人怜悯范叔，忍受不了寒冷。
有了余钱就多买几双青芒鞋；
去名山采药，兴致依然未尽。

Though frail and ill, I still can eat a bowl of rice;
To water-shield and wild rice shoots, I add my spice.
Once I received an office seal, soon cast away;
Now old, ashamed to seek a post, I choose to stay.
I wonder at myself, as lazy as Ji Kang;
Men pity Fan Shu, who could not the cold withstand.
With spare cash, I buy straw sandals, green and light;
To gather herbs on famed peaks, my zest stays bright.
