见到贤德之人，就想着要与他看齐。
饮食常常是粗糙的脱壳粟米，我却觉得甘美。
起床总在鸡鸣之前，从不等待。
园中菜蔬稀疏萧索。
太学里的齑菜酸涩寒俭。
我时常告诫儿子们：
不要厌弃锄头和犁耙（意指农耕劳作）。

On seeing the virtuous, aspire to be their peer.
