若被任用，其价值可重于九鼎；
处于困窘时，操守岂止值一线钱。
虽说头发已变得稀疏斑白，
却无碍于腹中学识的饱满。
高卧在茅草屋檐之下，
烹煮藜羹的简朴之道已无人相传。

A scholar rests content with fate and right,
And leaves what he encounters to heaven's might.
When employed, his worth outweighs tripods of state;
In poverty, his integrity won't abate.
Though hair grows sparse and thin with passing years,
His mind remains full, banishing all fears.

Where the art of simple broth no one sees.
