池塘沼泽的秋日景色显得淡薄，
郊野平原拂晓的空气十分清新。
雨将来时，斑鸠仿佛在鸣叫诉说着什幺；
秋社临近，燕子却显得无情，准备南飞。
拄着手杖，腰间的疼痛需要搀扶；
水上的渔舟，在眼前映照得格外明亮。
因病之故，我苦苦吟咏的创作中断了；
但随性所至，偶尔也能写成诗篇。

The autumn scene by the marsh looks pale and thin;
The air over the plain at dawn is fresh and clean.
When rain comes, the turtledoves seem to have words to say;
As the village festival nears, swallows show no care.
Leaning on my cane, I feel the ache in my waist;
The fishing boat on the water glistens before my eyes.
My bitter chanting halts because of my illness;
Yet sometimes, at my ease, a poem may still be born.
