天将破晓，溪边的风刮得又急又猛，
初秋的天空显得格外高远辽阔。
凉意穿透了我粗布裁制的短褐衣衫，
清爽之感渗入了我这顶因缩水而紧的帽子。
拍打着翅膀，公鸡频频啼叫报晓，
麻雀在争夺的树枝上正欢快地喧闹。
一竹篮食物对我来说已经足够，
即便是芋头和豆子，也让我能多加一餐。

At dawn, the stream wind blows swift and strong,
The new autumn sky stretches vast and long.
Coolness seeps through my coarse robe, rough and plain,
Freshness enters my shrunken hat, easing the brain.
Wings flapping, the rooster crows again and again,
Sparrows on contending branches chirp with no restrain.
A single basket of food is enough for me,
Even taro and beans add to my simple glee.
