清静地倚靠着素雅的屏风。
孩子做着点茶的梦，
客人传授着养鱼的经书。
马因为嘶鸣而受到斥责，
龟由于长久不用而不再灵验。
诗写成了，便用吴地的腔调吟咏，
趁这酒醉初醒的时刻。

All day I sit within the thatched pavilion,
Leaning against the plain screen in serene solitude.
My child dreams of brewing tea in a round pot,
A guest imparts the classic on raising fish.
The horse is scolded for its untimely neighing,
The turtle, long neglected, has lost its prophetic power.
My poem done, I chant it in the southern style,
Just as the first soberness returns from my drunken state.
