在野外空旷、林木寒峭的一水之旁，
梅花繁密与疏落的花蕊仿佛正在商量。
半是霜半是雪，相互映衬，依然洁白；
没有蝴蝶也没有蜜蜂，却自在散发着幽香。
月光拂过拂晓的窗，移来清瘦的花影；
风传送着残留的号角声，引得余音悠长。
我还怜惜自己客居在龙山之下，
未折取一枝梅花，心已先寸断肠。

By a lone stream, in wilds and woods chilled by the air,
Dense and sparse plum blossoms seem in deep council there.
Half frost, half snow, they keep their pristine white hue;
No butterfly, no bee, yet their sweet scent drifts through.
The moon past dawn window casts their slender shade;
The wind bears a fading horn's long, mournful serenade.
I pity my journey under Longshan's height—
To break a twig would break my heart before I might.
