剑门关是天然形成的险要关隘，
它北向控制着古代秦国所在的函谷关一带。
进攻方与防守方固然形势不同，
但存续与灭亡终究取决于人。
栈道上的云雾带着寒意，仿佛要下雨，
关口的柳树在幽暗中感知到春天已来临。
我这寄居他乡的旅客渐渐衰老，
凭靠高处远眺，不禁心神凄怆。

The Sword Gate Pass, a natural fortress, stands tall.
To the north, it commands the lands of Qin's ancient hall.
Though attacker and defender differ in might,
Survival or doom rests on human will in the fight.
Plank road clouds chill, threatening rain from the sky,
The pass willows, darkening, know spring is nigh.
A wayfarer grows old, weary and worn,
Leaning high, my heart with sorrow is torn.
