All my life through wind and snow, I've been used to riding a donkey.
Though my temples are all white, I still indulge in wine;
As my eyesight declines, I turn to love books more.
Knowing when to stop, I feel close to the Way;
Stubborn and foolish, I'm glad to be distant from others.
Don't blame me for having no place to settle—
The lungs of the earth, Mount Tiantai, have more than enough room.
