我驾着万斛巨舟，像龙马奔腾，任我遨游四方。
稍稍舒解我们这些人胸中的郁结之气，
一举扫除那群小人心头的分外忧愁。
醉意中，真想挥动倚天长剑斩断巨鲸，
谈笑间，驾驭舟船渡过惊涛骇浪。
悠然自得地高声吟咏平生经历，
怎能在这局促肮脏之地，老死于故乡山丘？

The giant turtle bears three mountains in the autumn's emerald sea,
The dragon steed of ten thousand bushels carries the old wanderer free.
To ease a little the pent-up breath within our kindred breast,
And sweep away the extra sorrows that the lesser folk infest.
Drunk, I'd slash the giant whale with a sword that leans on the sky;
Laughing, I'd cross the terrifying waves in a boat meant for rivers to ply.
Leisurely, I chant aloud the events of my entire life—
How could I, in petty squalor, grow old in my hometown rife?
