麦穗初秀，微寒的时节过后，
梅子转黄，细雨飘洒之前。
湖滩上，白鹭刚刚开始聚集，
堤岸的柳树上，蝉儿还未鸣叫。
古琴因轻阴的天气而带上湿气，
头巾因微醺而偏向一边。
傍晚来临，幽静的兴致达到顶点，
我又一次登上了钓鱼的小船。

Before the fine rain when mume fruits yellow.
On lakeside shoals, egrets first gather in flight,
On dike willows, cicadas are yet silent in the light.
My lute feels moist in the gentle shade,

As evening falls, my quiet zest peaks with delight,
Once more, I board the angling boat, into the twilight.
