春耕之前，小牛犊健壮有力；
节日临近，祭祀用的猪发出叫声。
屋檐下的阳光温暖着桑树和榆树，

不必去求问什么金丹仙药，
持守这样的生活，我便可以终老此生。

In youth I studied the three hundred odes,
The 'Airs of Bin' I most earnestly practiced.
Before spring, the plowing calves are sturdy;
As the festival nears, the sacrificial pigs squeal.
Sunlight warms the mulberries and elms under the eaves,
Garden vegetables are cleansed by wind and dew.
No need to ask about the Elixir of Gold,
Holding to this, I shall end my days.
