孔子的家族在东方鲁地依然存在，
尼山的道德学问最为尊崇。
他的教化能够流传万世，
但他的福泽却未能庇护他的子孙。
我官职卑微，远在三千里外，
只留下这数百字的墓志铭文。
未能将你安葬在防墓之旁，
只能徒然地凭吊这雨花中的英魂。

The Eastern Lu clan still endures,
The path of Ni Hill is held most high.
His teachings spread through ten thousand ages,
Yet fortune did not shelter his own line.
A minor post, three thousand miles away,
A tomb inscription, a few hundred words.
Not buried by the side of the guarded tomb,
In vain I mourn the soul amidst the rain of flowers.
