将兰花穿成佩饰，用桂木制成舟船，
北边的小洲上云彩飞动，船夫们唱起了歌谣。
千万条柳丝已然能编织出哀怨，
不必再用成片的荷叶勉强遮掩羞惭。
那摇曳生姿的金堤，有谁与我一同登临？
翠色帷帐纷繁华丽，客人却独自停留。
想要挑选一位浣纱女，足以倾覆敌国，
越王又在靠近江边的地方建起了高楼。

From northern isle, clouds fly as oarsmen start their song.
Already myriad threads of willow weave a moan,
No need for lotus leaves to vainly hide the shame.

To choose a laundress who could topple a rival state,
The King of Yue raised yet another tower by the stream.
