地处偏僻，没有车马的痕迹；
心灰意冷，只想静坐达到忘我的境界。
迅猛的雷声徒然震裂了屋柱，
幽深的草丛却并不送来凉意。
烈日炎炎，蝉儿蜕下了空壳；
花儿凋谢，蜂房里已贮满蜂蜜。
复杯戒酒，我知道已经很久了，
哪里还能像次公那样狂放不羁呢？

My heart is ash, I sit and would forget.
A sudden thunder only cracks the pillar clean;
The deep grass offers no cool comfort yet.
The fierce sun leaves the cicada's cast-off shell;

Long have I known the overturned cup's fate—
Could I, like Cigong, still be wild and elate?
