碓头功行满，非意祖师名。

duì tóu gōng xíng mǎn， fēi yì zǔ shī míng。

ㄉㄨㄟˋ ㄊㄡˊ ㄍㄨㄥㄒㄧㄥˊ ㄇㄢˇ，ㄈㄟㄧˋ ㄗㄨˇ ㄕㄇㄧㄥˊ。

世事春风过，禅心夜月明。

shì shì chūn fēng guò， chán xīn yè yuè míng。

ㄕˋ ㄕˋ ㄔㄨㄣㄈㄥㄍㄨㄛˋ，ㄔㄢˊ ㄒㄧㄣㄧㄝˋ ㄩㄝˋ ㄇㄧㄥˊ。

清泉灵石窦，老钵镇山城。

qīng quán líng shí dòu， lǎo bō zhèn shān chéng。

清泉从灵异的石洞中流出，

古老的钵盂镇守着山城。

冷眼旁观梅花含笑，

纷纷扰扰尽是送往迎来的俗事。

The Patriarch's name was not his intended goal.

Worldly affairs pass like the spring wind;

His Zen heart is bright as the night moon.

Clear springs flow from the spirit-stone cave;

His old alms bowl pacifies the mountain town.

Amidst the bustle of welcoming and sending off.
