思虑世事本是超脱外物，
保全生命反而更近人情。
轻便凉爽，舒适肌肤与头发，
潇洒飘逸，隔绝外界的尘埃。
可以独自前往山林隐居，
这样的人也是陶唐时代的百姓。

Longing for the sage Yierzi, afar,
I thus make this swallow-headcloth fine.
To shun the world is to leave things behind,
Preserving life draws one closer to mankind.
Light and cool, it soothes the skin and hair,
Free and easy, it keeps the dust out there.
To the woods and hills one may go alone,
This too is a subject of Emperor Yao's throne.
