白话文翻译
吕梁山确实是天然的险关，
鱼鳖都无法在其中游弋。
我们牵引船只驶出乱石丛，
一根绳索需用上百头牛的力量。
汹涌的激流蕴含着风雷之势，
蜿蜒的水势像蛟龙在喷吐。
世间本就有令人畏惧的艰险路途，
但我仍以随波逐流为耻。
侧身看见百仞高的瀑布奔流而下，
俯身窥探千丈深的幽暗深渊。
若不是具备了通达的见识，
便难以宽解心中的种种忧虑。
我早年就涉猎老子、庄子的思想，
放任心神，领会那虚舟（超然物外）的境界。
忠诚与信义尚且足以依靠，
畅所欲言，礼义之门便是依循的途径。

The Lüliang Gorge, a perilous pass by nature's hand,
Where fish and turtles dare not swim across the land.
We haul our boat through clustered rocks with might,
A hundred oxen strain against the cable tight.
The torrents rage with wind and lightning's wrath,
Like coiling dragons spewing on their path.
The world has roads that fill the heart with dread,
Yet I feel shame to follow where they've led.
I glimpse the hundred-fathom cascade's race,
And peer into the thousand-yard abyss's face.
Unless one's mind can reach a lofty height,
It's hard to ease the hundred worries' blight.
Long have I studied Laozi and Zhuangzi's lore,
Letting my heart roam free, like an empty boat on shore.
Loyalty and faith are still enough to trust,
To speak my mind, the gate of rites is just.
