在南方极远之地，白昼渐渐变长，
隐逸之人心中欢喜不尽。
阳气开始生发，但还受着压抑，
阴气虽已衰老，却依然强盛凌人。
风儿化解了吴地山上的积雪，
江水流动着蜀地带来的寒冰。
冒着严寒，我勉强乘兴而出，
拖着鞋子去拜访邻近的僧人。

A recluse's joy, beyond all he knows.
Yang energy rises, though still suppressed,
Yin force, though aging, holds power, unrepressed.
Wind melts the snow on southern hills away,
River flows with ice from Shu's lands today.

In slippers, to visit the monk next to my home.
