山鸟在晨光中互相呼唤，
桅杆上的乌鸦自然地指向南方。
我精神抖擞地看着船帆张满，
坐着细数首尾相连的船只。
水面宽阔，仿佛有蛟龙在舞动，
鱼儿肥美，引得鹳鹤贪食。
战阵般的云层浓黑如墨，
正将雨水送往湘潭的方向。

Mountain birds call to each other in the dawn's light,
The crow on the mast points south by its own accord.
Vigilant, I watch the sails fill out, full and bright,
Sitting, I count the prows and stems, linked in a cord.
The vast waters churn where dragons might dance and play,
Fish grow fat, tempting the greedy crane and heron.
Battle clouds gather thick as ink, darkening the day,
Sending their rain toward the rivers of Xiangtan.
