竹子的劲节四季都美好，
这位君子（竹子）总是青翠悦目。
竹影摇曳，仿佛摇碎了金色的日光，
竹声清响，如同玲珑的美玉相击。
在这方丈小亭中，尘埃俗念全然断绝，
于高雅的斋室里，醉意与迷梦都已清醒。
自古以来，寻求山野之趣的心意，
与身处深林郊野并无不同。

Its sturdy joints are fair in all four seasons,
This gentleman's eyes are ever verdant and keen.
Its shadow sways, shattering the golden light,
Its sound stirs, like the tinkling of jade serene.
In this small abode, all worldly dust is gone,
In the lofty studio, drunken dreams awake.
The intent to seek the wilds has always been,
No different from dwelling deep in the woods' embrace.
