炽热的阳光与我们同处此世，
为何偏偏独独眷顾南方？
天地不过是一个巨大的熔炉，
江河湖海像鼎中的水一样沸腾。
鱼龙处境危险，失去了居所，
黍稷恐怕要遭遇荒年。
我心浩荡，思念着雷雨，
长久地吟诵着那篇《云汉》诗章。

The scorching sun shares this world with us,
Why does it favor the southern lands alone?
Heaven and earth are but a vast furnace,
Rivers and lakes boil like a cauldron.
Fish and dragons are in peril, losing their abode,
Millet and grain may face a year of famine.
Vast and mighty, I long for thunderous rain,
Chanting long the ode to the starry River of Heaven.
