散栎厌为社，枯梧非有神。

sǎn lì yàn wéi shè， kū wú fēi yǒu shén。

ㄙㄢˇ ㄌㄧˋ ㄧㄢˋ ㄨㄟˊ ㄕㄜˋ，ㄎㄨㄨˊ ㄈㄟㄧㄡˇ ㄕㄣˊ。

一身具松柏，千岁作秋春。

yī shēn jù sōng bǎi， qiān suì zuò qiū chūn。

风影日亭午，露香宵向晨。

白话文翻译

散乱的栎树，厌烦了充当社树，

枯萎的梧桐，并非真有神灵。

一身兼具松树与柏树的特质，

历经千载，看尽春秋更迭。

风影在正午时分点缀着亭子，

露水的清香从夜晚持续到清晨。

只有仙鹿的足迹留在这里，

从不后悔新长出的白发（喻古树新枝）。

Scattered oaks, tired of being village shrine,

Withered parasol, no spirit divine.

A single form combines pine and cypress might,

A thousand years, autumn and spring in its sight.

Wind and shadow at noon the pavilion grace,

Dew and fragrance from night till morning embrace.

Only the tracks of immortal deer remain,

Never regretting the newness of hoary mane.
