广蜀为唇齿，双江直下舟。

guǎng shǔ wéi chún chǐ， shuāng jiāng zhí xià zhōu。

ㄍㄨㄤˇ ㄕㄨˇ ㄨㄟˊ ㄔㄨㄣˊ ㄔˇ，ㄕㄨㄤㄐㄧㄤㄓˊ ㄒㄧㄚˋ ㄓㄡ。

人知传干腹，公识到源头。

rén zhī chuán gàn fù， gōng shí dào yuán tóu。

ㄖㄣˊ ㄓㄔㄨㄢˊ ㄍㄢˋ ㄈㄨˋ，ㄍㄨㄥㄕˊ ㄉㄠˋ ㄩㄢˊ ㄊㄡˊ。

袖入榻前疏，筹深岭外忧。

xiù rù tà qián shū， chóu shēn lǐng wài yōu。

世人只知传递腹心的计谋，唯有您认识到要追溯到源头。

将奏疏藏入袖中，呈于御榻之前；谋划深远，系念岭外的忧患。

我恳切地参详近来的事迹；字字句句，都堪比龟甲占卜所示的深谋远略。

Guang and Shu are as close as lips and teeth; two rivers flow straight down by boat.

People knew of transmitting plans from the core; you alone understood reaching the source.

Memorials were tucked into sleeves before the throne; strategies deepened concerns beyond the ridges.

Earnestly I ponder recent events; each word compares to the wisdom of the turtle-shell divination.
