天鸡啼鸣，发出喔咿的叫声，
残余的星辰还斜挂在银河之上。
我整理好衣衫，走出幽静的门扉，
山城中计时的更漏声刚刚停歇。
水面微微吹起了清风，
田野上的露水缓缓消散。
此时此刻，我仿佛游于上古葛天氏无忧的国度，
内心淡泊宁静，所有的羡慕之情都已消散一空。
仿佛海天的青色漫上了寒冷的树梢，
我渐渐看清了梅花绽放的容颜。

The rooster crows, a clarion call at dawn,
A few stray stars still hang in the slanting sky.
I dress and step out from my quiet door,
The night's water-clock in the mountain town has just run dry.
A gentle breeze begins to stir upon the stream,
And slowly, dew upon the fields begins to dry.
In such an hour, I wander in a timeless dream,
Serene and free from worldly desires, all envy left behind.
The ocean's hue ascends the cold, bare boughs,
And gradually, the plum blossom's face I come to find.
