想要穷尽登高览胜的兴致，
只有拄着手杖、穿着便鞋才最适宜。
猛禽鹰雕正得意翱翔，
那些燕雀之辈又怎能知晓？
带着黄犬和苍鹰离去，
那是谁家的少年郎啊。

Across the thousand-mile plain I gaze afar,
How fine it is in the late autumn hours!
To exhaust my delight in climbing high,
Only a staff and sandals are fit for me.
The eagle and hawk now soar in their pride,
How could the sparrow and swallow know their mind?

Whose young gallant is he, I'd like to know.
