一片叶子铿然落下，已惊觉秋天的到来，
何况又纷纷飘落，巧妙地映入眼帘。
摇动枯枝禁不住风声淅淅，
催生寒意长伴着雨声飕飕。
洞庭湖的波浪起初微微泛起，
云梦泽的霜天高远浩渺难以尽收。
落叶在台阶上飞舞、穿过帷帘，不必清扫，
萧瑟的声响伴随着逐臣的忧愁。

How much more when countless others fall in vain?
The withered trees, in rustling winds, cannot stand;
The chilling rains, with whistling gusts, sweep the land.
On Dongting's waves, the first slight ripples appear;
O'er Yunmeng's frost, a boundless haze hangs severe.
Let them dance on steps, pierce curtains, lie unswept—
These mournful rustlings with an exile's sorrow kept.
