整理仪容本是为了追求美好，
仓促之间却可能变得丑陋。
早晚兢兢业业地思考反省，
尚且可能有过失或不匹配之处。
如果放纵而不懂得明察，
优良的种子就会混杂着杂草。
我居住时每日多次反省自身，
曾参是我所效仿的朋友。

To groom oneself is originally for seeking beauty,
But in haste it may turn into ugliness.
Being cautious and reflecting day and night,
One may still sometimes miss the proper match.
If one lets go without careful observation,
Fine seeds will be mixed with weeds.
I reflect on myself three times a day,
With Zeng Shen as the friend I emulate.
