野蚕沿着桑树自然结成了茧，
一群孩童采摘蚕茧，损伤了桑树枝条。
明年家养的蚕卵孵出如黑蚁般的幼蚕，
田里的桑树枯死，蚕儿只能忍饥挨饿。
再去采摘野蚕的茧也装不满竹筐，
家养的蚕蚁却年年滋生没有穷尽之时。
老人家啊，快阻止孩子们别再损伤桑树，
桑叶生长，蚕儿成熟，才能有源源不断的丝。

Wild silkworms spin their cocoons on mulberry trees,
Children gather the cocoons, leaving branches bare.
Next year, domestic silkworms hatch as black ants,
Mulberries die in the field, the silkworms starve in despair.

Old man, stop your children from stripping the mulberries bare,
