山中的僧人脚穿青色的芒鞋，
已厌倦踩踏城中的尘土。
水边的寒风萧萧作响，
他孤单的身影渡过了沙岸。
傍晚的云朵迎接他归寺的锡杖，
低低地飞过，使石路变得昏暗。
暮钟的声音从前峰落下，
他离去时，正迎着后山袭来的雨。

The mountain monk in straw sandals, green and bare,
Grows weary treading on the city's dusty square.
The stream wind blows, a chill and soughing sound,
His single shadow crosses the sandy ground.
Evening clouds welcome the returning staff he bears,
As low they fly, dimming the path of stone stairs.
The vesper bell falls from the peak ahead,
He goes to meet the mountain rain, by the rear summit led.
