已经没有人来交这笔税钱了。
野火蔓延，烧到了无人祭扫的坟墓，
田地也被侵占，成了没入官府的田产。
边疆地区战事不断，干戈遍地，
蛮荒的州郡偏偏又瘴疠横行。
不知道那些携带着老人和孩童的逃户，
能去哪里找到一个丰收的年景安身。

The tax roll's name remains, yet who will pay the due?
No one is left to render the tax money now.
Fire encroaches on graves where no masters stay,
Land is seized, becoming the state's field somehow.
The borderlands are filled with spears and shields of war,
The southern wilds are plagued with pestilence and more.
I know not where the old and young, in their retreat,
Can find a place of plenty, with abundant wheat.
