溪流和山峦都那幺可爱；
花草树木自然地相互依偎。
虽然是佳节，我们行乐游玩；
但身在异乡，还不能归去。
应当像兰亭集会那样修禊饮酒；
回头望去，白云正悠悠飘飞。

On Shangsi Day, I ride along with friends in glee;
South of the town, we gaze upon the setting sun.
The stream and hills are both a lovely sight to see;
Flowers and trees in mutual dependence run.
Though on this festive day we seek our pleasure's way,
In foreign land, we cannot yet return home free.
Like at the Orchid Pavilion, we drink and pray;
I look back — white clouds are flying carelessly.
